Overview
We attended talks and took part in discussions with bp employees from business, engineering and people & culture sectors of the business. We had opportunities to ask questions and meet other students with shared passion in the energy industry.
Skills
Developed inquisitive learner skills asking questions from employees in departments we were not familiar with such as cyber security and emergency response. Developed networking skills at networking events and business panels.
Business Insight
It was insightful for me to gain an insight into the different roles within their finance business, especially procurement finance wherein I took part in a shadowing scheme. I also learned a lot about roles in engineering, project management and trading from further talks.
