Overview
My role consisted of: Produce and manage various project documents General administration Record Meeting Minutes • Produce research reports and presentations for the clients objectives
Skills
Stakeholder Management Communication Styles Construction Technology Construction Law Working in Diverse Teams
Responsibilities
My responsibility progressively increased overtime but a comfortable pace. In my opinion I was never ultimately responsible for massive decision making which was something I liked by I was given tasks a roles that were integral to the project’s progression.
Support & Guidance
I had a very supportive project team who welcomed me we instantly. It was an open space where I could discuss how I was feeling about my work and my personal life. Mace set you up with a buddy/ Mentor who is usually a 2nd year graduate or apprentices who will guide you through your experience on a close junior level whilst you also have you line managers as a more senior level of support
Culture
Mace is a company that puts a lot of pride in the safety of their staff by promoting a lot of campaigns within the health, safety and wellbeing theme. They also create a lot of space for providing social value back into the wider community by encouraging all employees to do volunteering at least once a year.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my time and have made so many valuable relationships within the industry.
Yes
Mainly for the assessment centre, make sure you speak up and use your voice otherwise you may get lost in the crowd. At the same time, avoid trying to steal the spotlight and take lead of all conversations in the team exercises. If you find you keep getting spoken over, make sure to reiterate your points. Also important to note that Mace is a global company with sites to expand further in the middle east and americas, so any questions that include that, keep it in mind
