Overview
Working with environmental & mechanical team currently, performing maintenance on test equipment and providing support to various test engineering teams during environmental testing. I spend around half my day at my desk doing paperwork etc., and the other half down in production and testing areas doing more hands-on work. The variety of work i do means that I rarely have a boring day at work and makes it very hard to accurately describe exactly what I do on a day-to-day basis.
Skills
Two new programming languages, software packages I'd never used before (eg MS Visio), furthered my practical abilities, learned about electronics (as I come from a mechanical background and was working until February in an electronics focused team I had to learn about what I was being tasked with)
Responsibilities
Yes
Support & Guidance
I was supported whenever I needed it or asked for help, and did not have any unwanted support thrust on me. Overall, this was the perfect for me
Culture
General atmosphere in the two teams i have worked with was great - all easy people to work with, company culture in general leads to a very relaxed and calm work environment
