Overview
Assisting in auditing motorway audits. Using Excel to verify if costs are allowable under the contract, consolidating data and communication with the client about requesting more data to assist in the process
Skills
Greatly developed Excel skills and also greatly developed time management skills
Responsibilities
Yes, I was given work in which I was allowed to get on and do it without having someone 'over my shoulder', allowing me to learn on my own
Support & Guidance
My line manager was always on hand to assist and guide, I had weekly catch up meetings to discuss anything, whether it be work related or not. Also had another more senior team member who gave me work supporting me on the work
Culture
I work from home so haven't experienced office. But the general culture is very laid back but professional. Working hours were somewhat flexible you could start work an hour later and or finish an hour earlier if needed. As long as the work was completed and to a high level when, where and what time you completed it was your choice
Your Impressions
I wish I went into the office more to meet my team members But apart from that I really enjoyed my placement
Yes
During the psychometric test, the test about reactions you will not be able to complete, don't spend 3 hours on it
