Overview
Creating and raising invoices, updating the cashbook, Monthly VAT return preparation, reconciling GL accounts, AP/AR analysis, purchasing card analysis, SAP journals
Skills
Developed basic accounting knowledge from Uni modules e.g. double-entry bookkeeping Learnt technical skills such as SAP, further Excel and analysis
Responsibilities
Yes I was responsible for looking after GL accounts across multiple business units, handling large sets of data in and preparing the VAT return
Support & Guidance
I received a month of training from the previous intern and then from the rest of the team as and when I needed it
