The Role
I enjoyed it tremendously, it provided me with terrific experience and I found it very challenging.
I built up a great rapport with my colleagues, the responsibility and respect they showed me was very encouraging.
I was urged to be independant simply by the fact my job role required intiative and diversity. However, whenever i really needed help, someone was always there to provide it.
The first few weeks was quite slow, but this is to be expected due to getting into the job. When i fully got into it, I was providing with very challenging but reachable deadlines which kept me very busy.
I was given a lot of responsibility, I led projects and others were dependant on me for their own deadlines.
I gained invaluable skills during my placement and they will help me through my careers for the rest of my life.
The Company
It wasn't the most fun filled office, this was partly due to the professionalism everyone seemed to show. However I found i could hold good conversations with my colleagues.
Very well organised, at no point did i feel the company were not prepared or equipped for my placement.
I found my supervisor was always interested to see how I was getting on and kept track of my progress.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
I appear to have performed competently and hope to be considered in the future if any job placements occur.
The Culture
Went out for a few drinks but didnt make any life long friends.
I commuted from where i went to university so the petrol costed quite a bit.
Quite a quiet place and didn't have a very lively night life.
People organised things such as go carting and team walk. However only a couple of times throughout the year.
