Overview
Providing a daily OEE dashboard which condenses all sources of manufacturing loss time and grew of these sources. This is then sent to key stakeholders
Skills
I have learnt a lot about excel vba coding. Learnt about all the start to finish process of making tea from plantation to cup
Responsibilities
I was trusted with confidential data and worked alongside many different people on a multimillion pound project
Support & Guidance
I had weekly 1 to 1 meetings with my manager to discuss what has been done in the past week and planning for what is needed to be done for the coming week
Culture
There are people from a wide array of of backgrounds. The offices were quite informal and so allowed me to talk to the people sitting next to me and allowed me to get to know their roles in the company
Your Impressions
I throughly enjoyed my placement, it has exposed me to a potential career option after I graduate from university. It has also shown me how a 9-5 job operates as previous to this I was doing 0 hour contract jobs.
Yes
Try to learn as much as you can about the process prior to arriving to hit the ground running. It will also impress the managers if you already have background knowledge of the machines/ systems in place.
