Overview
I'm in the dilapidations team. I assist chartered building surveyors with inspections and the subsequent report production. My role varies from taking notes on site, measurements and writing up the report. I also am involved with project management, acting as an assistant contract administrator.
Skills
I understand how to diagnose building defects better. I can also formulate what I see in to words better.
Responsibilities
I've been happy with the responsibility given. I get pushed to try and do things myself which is great for learning, but my work is always checked by someone qualified.
Support & Guidance
Work load is graduate led, so Ive generally had to find work myself. Surveyors Ive assisted have been very supportive.
Culture
Its very relaxed which I like. Everyone can get on with what they need to and all done in a comfortable environment.
Your Impressions
I've really enjoyed. I've been given an opportunity to work with big clients and have learnt a lot.
