Overview
On my day to day work, I provide support for calibration and controls work of the engine ECM. This includes helping make minor custom changes to calibrations and releasing it to customers. I also get to have hands on experience by testing calibrations in the laboratory.
Skills
I learnt CAN bus basics for vehicle communications. I also have better awareness of the engine electronics such as the ECM. I also manage to develop my professional communication skills actively.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was provided was a good amount of responsibilities. I would nearly be busy all the time and have to deal with quick deadlines.
Support & Guidance
I have adequate support for my placement. There is many coworkers that can help me with different difficulties that I faced in my placement.
Culture
The company is generally supportive and foster a positive atmosphere.
Your Impressions
Overall it's a good experience for me, personally I didn't enjoy it as much as I felt the role I had was not what I initially had in mind.
