Overview
I handle a lot of Ad-Hoc requests, answering questions on Business cases, solving data hygiene issues. My main monthly responsibility is reporting on Innovations for my category, seeing which are performing well and getting the drivers behind this
Skills
I have developed my excel skills significantly, I have also learnt how to utilise PowerBI. I have also been learning the P&L even though it isn't part of my role.
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibility, I joined new projects, one involving Net-Zero costing. I feel like I was given more responsibility that other placement students, I really owned Innovations for my category.
Support & Guidance
I was given constant support during my placement, both workwise and mental health wise. My manager would answer any questions I had, the same can be said about my team as well.
Culture
The company culture was amazing, I was fortunate enough to join the social committee and organise many events, most recently being a charity football match where we raised £14k for charity. Everyone is very friendly here and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
Your Impressions
I loved my placement, I cannot recommend it enough, Unilever is a fantastic company.
