Overview
Within my role, I work on inbox management and help support with any queries that we get to our Future Careers inbox. I also lead on different projects, for example i have supported with our onboarding process, ran focus groups to enable how we can improve our future programmes, I have also worked with one of our new partnerships and built up that relationship.
Skills
The skills i have learnt and developed are: time management, organisation, prioritisation of tasks, problem-solving, decision- making, resilience, leadership, accountability, personal mastery
Responsibilities
Yes, I was given a huge amount of responsibility when working here, i was able to be the key project lead in different areas, as well as being trusted to take on different roles by myself.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support from my different line managers and the wider team. For example, my line manager would put in weekly catch ups to check in how i was doing and my progress. Also, employees at Unilever are great at giving you feedback so you can ensure you are constantly improving,
Culture
Everyone at Unilever is so friendly and supportive here, within the 2 teams i worked in, it was very inclusive and you were able to voice your opinion.
Your Impressions
I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement here at Unilever, it has really enabled me to develop as a person, and learn new skills. I got stuck into projects that I had no idea i would be working on, I have loved this placement, and has been a great experience for me within HR and to see what areas I like, and what its like working in a big business.
Yes
To just go for it, don't ever doubt yourself, you will be able to do great things here at Unilever and really make a difference! Also, to get stuck in with as many things as you can and to network with people as much as possible
