The Role
Work was interesting and enjoyable
I felt part of our team and my work was important to our overall goal.
Management valued personal development highly
Times where I didn't have enough but times were I had too much work
You are intergrated into a team and are expected to perform as a full time employee
Many different experiences and development opportunities for transferable skills.
The Company
Everyone was very hard working but nice and always happy to help.
First placement students in our department in 8 years and the placement ran very smoothly.
Always given the opportunity to go on self development courses to improve skills and business abilities and learning courses.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
Graduate schemes are incredibly competitive. However fast track places are availble if you had done an industrial placement. No grad scheme in R&D.
The Culture
Was placed with very sophisticated students. There was a social scene but not one which reflected my university experience of other students.
Living in West London (Uxbridge). Quite expensive, going out in london VERY expensive.
Uxbridge is awful. Need to go into central London.
Football and tennis clubs. Not much else. Some events are put on by Stockley Park events committee and sometimes have department nights out.
