Overview
The insight week was filled with workshops and talks given by G-Research emplyees. These included the CEO and the head of research. Workshops covered a variety of areas in which G-Research specializes. These include ML, NLP, Statistics, Finance and programming.
Skills
I gained a better understanding of the different areas of expertise of G-Research and could understan where my skills could be applicable. I also grew my network of like-minded PhD students.
Business Insight
The recruiters made sure to explain to us thoroughly what are the different positions at G-Research and how the team allocation process works.
Culture
The atmoshpere was great. Most people I met are or used to be academics, so the values and interests of differnt participants and employees were aligned creating a very open and encouraging atmosphere.
