    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was good and definatly beneficial for my future careers

  • I am only an IP, but I did feel very valuable relative to my role.

  • My supervisor was very busy, but I was supported greatly by other memebers of the team

  • It varied from day to day, but never bored and often had just the right amount to do.

  • I was given enough responsibility for myself which was good for me

  • The chemistry skills and other interpersonal skills I have developed are worth everything in todays job market

  • Really good- the good balance of relaxed and hard work

  • Goood, because they have so many IPs theyre prepared

  • I'd love a job here however there arent many going in R&D at the moment

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Theres 150 IPs so good! plenty of friends to make

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • VERY expensive, rent was £100 per week and food was easily £30 a week

  • SHOCKING - the one club is AWFUL!

  • Not really, except we did have a volunteering day
