Overview
Help manage security topics such as renewing SSL certificates, arranging penetration tests and any ad-hoc security topics. Also, support the wider business with actioning support tickets such as access requests, password resets and other BAU activities.
Skills
Increased confidence when speaking to third parties. Improved organisation skills and knowing what to prioritise. Attention to detail has been enhanced as I need to be thorough with dates and ensure we are always compliant.
Responsibilities
I was given the right amount of responsibility, which helped me grow in confidence and motivated me to deliver high-quality work on time. Support was available to me if needed, which was very helpful and reduced stress.
Support & Guidance
Received a good amount of support from the whole team and my line manager. I could always rely on someone to give me a hand if a topic was complex or too large for me to complete.
Culture
The culture of the office is great. Allowed real friendships to develop, and I could get to know my colleagues on a personal level. Everyone was focused on getting their work done, but people were always happy to talk if needed.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my placement, as I learnt what it means to be a good colleague, how to deliver the best work possible, and how to conduct myself professionally. Developed many friendships within my team and knew I could reach out to them if needed.

Be confident during the interview, show that you are willing to do the hard work, enjoy being friendly with your colleagues, and emphasise why a good team dynamic is essential for delivering good work. Make sure to smile.
