Overview
Data analysis and problem solving to report an improve upon Residual Values for both Toyota and Lexus. Also includes a day-to-day responsibility to communicate with the Industry to inform of new releases, technical information and respond to any queries. Communication is also made internally to understand the developments of the product line-up. You are encouraged to look for opportunities to improve upon existing processes in your roll, learning about the 'Kaizen' culture of the Japanese company.
Skills
Yes, I have developed a number of new skills including the following: PowerBI Communication Presenting Time Management Project Management Event Organising I have also been able to develop some of my existing skills including: Outlook Excel Word PowerPoint Social Skills.
Responsibilities
Yes, I believe the most impressive thing about this placement is the level of responsibility you are given. The general work environment is low stress and the people who work here are very supportive and happy to help should you need it when at first your responsibilities are daunting.
Support & Guidance
The first two weeks come with an in-depth handover period to begin our understanding of the role and the people we work with. Managers dedicate their time to you to support you all the way through. We are also allocated mentors from other parts of the business to assist us with our main projects.
Culture
The culture is incredibly social. A committee of colleagues work to put on extra curricular activities which range broadly to include everyone's interests. The office is beautiful and full of light which helps to appreciate the day. There is also a committed CSR team that encourage charity events etc, which makes the culture one that can benefit society.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it a lot. I made the most of all opportunities, including ones that pushed me to dedicate myself to a charitable cause. (e.g ride london & Lake District 50km walk) I have made very good friends and enjoyed all of it and will definitely miss it when i am gone.
Yes
Definitely go for it and do your best to put yourself outside of your comfort zone. You learn so much and make lasting connections.
