Overview
I construct regular risk reports on UBS investment bank's credit risk exposures. These reports go to internal and external stakeholders such as credit officers, senior management, the board of directors and regulatory authorities. I also run stress tests and conduct analysis on the IB's credit risk exposures.
Skills
I have developed all of my soft skills as well learnt a wide range of new software and platforms.
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibility and trust. I was treated like any other full time member of the team and really felt a part of it.
Support & Guidance
I was given a lot of support and guidance and also felt very comfortable asking anyone in my team for help at any point.
Culture
The atmosphere was good. I was lucky to be placed in a team that had a large in-person presence which made coming in to the office a lot more enjoyable and motivating. My team were fun, welcoming and we often did things outside of work such as meals and drinks.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it a lot. It was an enormous learning experience and I have met some great people. I also felt very valued and like I was given significant responsibility.
Yes
Have confidence and believe you can make positive change. Don't be afraid to speak up, challenge the status quo or ask why. This is a great way of adding value to the organization and being noticed.
