The Role
I really enjoyed working at GSK and would recommen it to anyone.
Everyone at GSK is extremely nice and I got along with my manager like he was just a friend.
Help is alwasy available and you're never felt like you're left alone.
I found my work load to be the perfect balance.
It can vary between projects but on some, you can be left in charge which is a good feeling. Although you're in charge, there is still help and advise available.
Everything I learnt at GSK, I feel I will be able to use in whatever job I have next.
The Company
I was part of a group of employees that organised different events for everyone in the office. This made working a lot more fun.
The GSK side of the setup was perfect however, the year that I was there, all students were setup as contractors through a company called SRG and they are pretty useless company. Apparently this was just a trial so should be fine for later years.
They are very willing to let you do any training course within reason.

The grad scheme was setup in a very specific way so made it hard for most people to even start the application.
The Culture
There was but only by chance. I worked in IT and by chance we happened to meet some of the science students. This made it similar to being at uni.
I lived in a little town 30mins south of Stevenage and there were plenty of pubs and 1 club about 15mins away. The prices were quite a bit higher but eaily do-able. My rent was £425 a month which was quite a bit more than what I was used to at uni (£300).
There were plenty of pubs and 1 club 15mins away. This didn't bother me too much as I prefer going to pubs. Plus with the addition of a fair few other students at gsk we were just able to have lots of house parties.
There was a sports and social club which had a wide range of activities. For example I went canoeing along the river next to the GSK site druing the summer.
