Overview
I am currently writing a range of different data modules using XML. I also have the opportunity to undertake "stretch assignments" which are assignments that are outside of my day-to-day role, designed to give me a better insight of the company and the deliverables that it produces
Skills
I have learned how to write in XML and what a data module is and how it is used
Responsibilities
I am responsible for creating, modifying and reviewing data modules which are used as a part of maintenance and safety critical checks for the products that the company produces
Support & Guidance
I am surrounded by support from the graduate team and from the technical team that I work with. Everyone is very approachable and there genuinely are no stupid questions
Culture
It's very relaxed. As long as you get your work completed, you're free to have a bit of a laugh with your colleagues and outside of work social events are regularly organized. It feels like a very mature place to work and a lot like university
Your Impressions
It's just like being at university but getting paid. There's a lot of self responsibility and no micromanagement
Yes
Always ask questions, especially if you're unsure. Everyone is very supportive and nurturing, they are aware that you don't know everything
