  • The day to day role includes: Interpersonal and Management skills: leadership, training, problem solving and customer service Business management: cost control, profits, growth, account management Marketing: working closely to provide a service for existing and potential corporate accounts Customer service: taking reservations, writing contacts and handling customer enquiries

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • During my placement year I have developed my confidence and my interpersonal skills. I have developed my skills in presenting and talking to customers. I have done multiple presentations about marketing and Intern of the year. I have also spent a lot of time working on my sales skills and training new trainees. I have really enjoyed reading new members of staff.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • During my internship I have been given lots of responsibilities, these include: Making sure that customers are completely satisfied with our customer service. Reservation management and problem solving. Training new starters that join the business. Business and revenue management - Cost control and revenue growth. Looking after the fleet health - booking in annual services and body damage repairs.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I gained so much support during my internship, whilst working at two branches: I had support from my colleagues, assistant mangers , branch mangers and area managers. I also had support from my Mentor who works in the group head office. I received lots of support from my female focus group!

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The culture and atmosphere at Enterprise is fantastic! Everyone is so supportive and welcoming. If I ever have any issues I know I can always talk to someone. The efforts towards diversity equity and inclusion are incredible. I have worked closely with my female focus group and children in need.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement! I believe that I have gained so many valuable skills and gained so much confidence. I have had a fantastic Experience during my placement. I worked at two branch’s Birmingham Airport and Sheldon. Working with a diverse group of staff has taught me so much and has made my experience!

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to Enterprise Mobility
  • Some advice I would give to anyone applying to Enterprise is to say yes to every opportunity! From the beginning start to grow your personal brand, use social media to show what you are getting up to at work. Having a yes mentality will help with confidence and enjoying your job. If you have an interview then ask lots of questions to the employees and take the chance to see what it is that we do!
