Overview
Day to day I analyse the risk data that we collect from the business to see which areas/types of issues are causing the most risk in the business. In addition to this I help improve processes by creating apps using Microsoft platforms such as Power Apps. Most of my role is centred around supporting business areas in managing their risks and contributing to improving processes. I also am involved in storing policies effectively using SharePoint.
Skills
I have learned so much over my placement. One of the key skills that I have learned is communication in a workspace. Experian have been really supportive in encouraging me to communicate my own ideas rather than someone else doing it for me. This has been both one to one and also in a presentation format. A soft skill that I have developed is time management, I am far better at meeting deadlines than I was before this placement.
Responsibilities
I was given a good amount of responsibility once I had shown I was capable. They were challenging with the opportunities but also supportive in giving me responsibility.
Support & Guidance
I always received guidance when I asked for it and also a good amount of support when doing independently guided tasks.
Culture
The culture at Experian is very inclusive and friendly. I've really enjoyed the environment this year.
