Overview
Both days consisted of a "Welcome Talk" to provide an overview of the day. This was followed by a coding session in small groups of around 6 people with a mentor from Amazon. Throughout the two days we completed around 6 coding activities in the groups, with chances to discuss our solutions via a Zoom call. We also had multiple presentations and Q&As from recruiters, affinity groups and other relevant Amazon staff.
Skills
Personally, I felt the coding activities were helpful as they gave insight on how to approach certain problems. I also learned a lot about Amazon's culture and what kind of employees they are looking for.
Business Insight
There could have been a more explicit session on different software engineering roles. However, there was an excellent day-in-the-life panel provided with employees from different areas and sectors which was useful.
