The Role
Probably the best job i have had to date. Brilliant envirmonent to work in and loads of laughs
fit in from day one with all the colleagues and now have many close friends as a result
had endless support given with a lot of in house training available which i was able to take advantage of and put me ahead of the game
a normal day was pretty casual, some days it did get very busy however i was always had support from numerous colleagues
i was literally running the show as my managers where very busy in meetings and another coleague had moved onto a bigger program leaving me to make sure stuff got done.
the skill i have learnt here have and will prove more than usefull for my final year project as have given me a great advantage when interviewing for other jobs due to the high level of knowledge i have acquired from working in a highly professional environment.
The Company
great atmosphere and had a lot of laugh with colleagues which made every day enjoyable.
the placement was very well organised i haven't had any problems to date
there were alot of person training options available which my company encouraged me to take and also provided financial support for
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Graduate opportunites are available which if you work for the company, you can fast track your application, however perminent options are also available.
The Culture
wasnt too bad, however as people are splpit out in different departments with different responcibilities, socialising with everyone can be difficult
personally i lived at home. however from talking to other friends the cost of living is reasonable and not as exspensive as people may think
GSK isnt near many pubs and bars so to speak, however you can get into london from the near by tube and train stations within 20 minutes.
there are a number of activites which you can get involved in to help the local communities or just generally to socialise with other colleagues
