    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I loved working in a lab and being at GSK, however not a full score as sometimes I found working in the lab by myself slightly lonely and would rather more human contact in future jobs

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I really felt like I was part of the team from day 1. They were really friendly and respected my views and ideas even though I am a student, allowing me to feel I was contributing to the work

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My Supervisor was excellent, she helped me every step of the way and gave me constructive guidence on the direction my work should be going

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    The Company

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I would really like to come back and work for GSK in the future

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There weren't many other students at my site so although they were friendly and we went out together, the social scene was limited by the small number of students. My colleagues all lived in other towns so I rarely saw them out of work

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Due to the proximity to London, the prices were all much higher then in Bristol, where I went to Uni and there weren't many cheap places to eat at

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • I was based in a tiny town with only a few pubs, we had to travel to have a good night out

    1/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Again, the town was tiny, I went to church but that was about it

    3/5
