  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • A bit challenging at first but thoroughly enjoyed it towards the end

  • I felt that I was actually helping them and apart of the team

  • My manager was very helpful and supportive

  • Some days were busier than others but I always found I had something to be doing

  • Certain tasks were delegated where I felt very independent

  • I have developed so many skills, both academic and social, that will help me after I leave my placement.

  • The majority of the time people tended to get on with their work so it was quite quiet

  • Very organised- I was told from the begining what would happen in the year ahead and the type of work I would be getting involved in

  • There were many opportunities to do training courses

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes, we usually ate lunch together and organised outside of work events now and again

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Living in the outskirts of London was still quite expensive but cheap compared to central areas, socialising was usually done in central London.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The nightlife was generally in the center of London which was about 30 minutes away on the tube.

  • Yes, there were work events almost every other month occuring outside of work
