Overview
The insight experience involved 2 days of insightful panels and workshops with mentors, in which I learnt a lot about amazon as a company and I gained a lot of knowledge on software engineering and practiced my skills.
Skills
I got to develop my skills in the programming language I already had experience in (Java) and I also got to develop my understanding of other programming languages (Python). Also, I got to learn of many concepts of software engineering and develop my understanding of them with exercises.
Business Insight
There were many panels and webinars which gave us a full insight into Amazon as a company and what they stand for. Also, they gave full insight into the roles available for internships at the company and provided support to be able to be successful in a software development internship application with Amazon.
Culture
The company atmosphere was incredibly welcoming and never made you feel uncomfortable, everyone can be themselves and they encourage you to voice your opinions.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed the insight event to a large extent because I not only learnt about Amazon as a company but I also got to learn a lot about software engineering and enhance my knowledge.
