Overview
It was a 2 week scheme where I was placed in a department. I was allocated a trainee buddy and she was assigning me projects. I also participated in a lot of panel talks from senior members of the firm.
Skills
Time management skills, communication skills, the ability to build relationships, teamworking skills. I also learnt how to use some of the firm's legal software during my tasks.
Business Insight
It was really useful because I learnt about the role of a trainee at the firm in the various departments. By completing typical trainee tasks, I learnt about how to interact with different fee-earners. I also learnt about the roles of each fee-earner.
Culture
The company's culture is very collaborative, which facilitates a great learning environment. Everyone is so friendly regardless of their position in the firm.
