Overview
My role as a Communications Specialist includes a wide variety of responsibilities, primarily focusing on supporting internal and external communications. - liaising with external agencies to process purchase orders each quarter - supporting organic and paid social - managing the UKI Newsroom, uploading news and press releases - editing executive comms videos using Adobe software such as Premiere pro

Responsibilities
I was given lots of responsibility as I had the autonomy to choose which projects I wanted to get involved with. i ha the chance to co-lead on a project that ran throughout my entire placement year.
Support & Guidance
My task manager, wider team and foundation manager all contributed to an amazing support network. I am very happy with the level of support and guidance I experienced.
Culture
Very positive, I didn't experience any toxicity.
Your Impressions
Whilst there were some tasks that weren't the most exciting and at times I found my role stressful, I certainly enjoyed my placement year overall.
Yes
Do you research on the company and try and train yourself in hard skills that you know you are likely going to need. Also spend time developing your soft skills such as the ability to present/communicate effectively.
