    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • What the placement involves depends on the department you are in. Product-focused roles will have a larger emphasis of working within a larger team conducting verification and validation tasks, including emails and meetings. Experimental project focused roles will involve more independent working with occasional project updates to a larger audience

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes. During the first few months you are more heavily supervised to ease you into the business and have closer support should you need it. However, as the placement progresses, you are given more substantial responsibility over your work - for me this included 1) being the only engineer within my department working on my project, 2) was given the opportunity to define how another project should be approached and begin.

  • Please rate how meaningful the work you were doing was

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I would rate the support and guidance highly. Everyone is always willing to help and answer any quires. It is also expected that every employee, not just placements, have regular 1:1 with their managers to discuss not only project progress & any support needed, but also any out-of-work situations if necessary.
