Responsibilities
Yes, I was provided much responsibility but also trust in the work I carry out. Frequently allowed to work independently and liase with external suppliers to maintain relationships and progress with multiple projects.
Support & Guidance
Significant support from my immediate team (templates, 121's, LinkedIn guidance, informal catch ups), but also the wider team (opportunity to present to the team, and solely with the General Manager). My team promoted a continuous learning environment throughout placement, I always felt comfortable asking for help and asking why n order to reinforce understanding.
Culture
Company culture was particularly strong with a consistent emphasis on respect and equality which made me as an undergraduate feel comfortable and able to partitive in business activities. The general atmosphere between associates was also overly positive throughout the year, with most associates always willing to network with you regardless of job status/ role/ experience which I found partly interesting and inspiring.
Your Impressions
I have greatly enjoyed my placement experience and I am proud to have worked for such a sustainable, inclusive and well established brand such as Honda. Not only the organisation, but also the people have taught me many skills and lesson that have developed and influenced me personally and professionally and I will take these forward in my future. I have learnt that I would love to continue my work in a global company and I would love the opportunity to return in the future due to my positive experience overall.
Yes
Culture is central to Honda, and therefore to be able to work in Honda you have to make sure this is a correct fit and aligns to your beliefs. However, overall Honda provides as many opportunities as you seek yourself. So I would recommend applying.
