Overview
The role involves working with Honda branches to help improve the completion of safety recalls across Europe. The role includes participation in meetings, events and new projects approaching. Data analysis and presentations are also a key part of the role.
Skills
During this role, I have definitely improved my excel and presentation skills massively. The role has allowed me to widen my knowledge of new formulas in order to analyse data. Similarly, my interpersonal skills have been hugely improved and allowed me to be more confident and professional when presenting to large boards. A new skill I learnt, was how to communicate effectively with a translator during a meeting in order to deliver a coherent presentation.
Responsibilities
During the role I was given lots of autonomy and opportunities to take on new tasks both independently and alongside my team. I was able to lead meetings with branches, create new reports to help benefit the accuracy of the monthly reporting and also suggest new activities and ideas.
Support & Guidance
Throughout my placement, I had excellent support within the team and my manager directly. I had 1-1 meetings with my manager weekly which allowed me to address any concerns I had or if I wanted to improve on any other skills.
Culture
When I first joined and throughout my placement, I found Honda to always be welcoming and forthcoming. Everyone is respectful, approachable and always willing to help with anything that you may query or want more information on.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement within the Safety Recall department. I was given lots of responsibility and opportunities to take on new avenues which helped to develop my overall skills and experience whilst at Honda.
Yes
When applying to Honda, I would recommend that people highlight their key skills that they have within their CV and cover letter so the department can identify whether you would be suited to the role.
