Overview
Daily & monthly reporting on Sales situations Preparing Presentations for monthly and weekly meetings and presentations Preparing excel spreadsheets to reflect various business aspects Collecting and presenting input from the European branches on their sales forecasting Providing overviews of sales to external orgaisations Updating various reports to read new models/ timeframes
Skills
I have developed my excel and presentations skills so that I know how to navigate both of these applications at a high level I have learned how to talk with people in order to get submissions within the requested timeframes (people skills) I have learned how to work closely with other people in projects I have learned how to adapt toward the working environment
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement as many of the reports and presentations I prepared were sent to or used by all of the senior management and senior Vice presidents. I was also given a lot of freedom and responsibility to figure problems and navigate the various environments i encountered myself
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support and guidance from those around me as people were very patient with any mistakes I would make and very supportive in helping me to find a solution. The various people that I could turn to for various issues was made very clear and they were all very accessible
Culture
The company culture was very friendly and supportive, everyone was very kind and patient to myself and others. As well as this HME hired from all the different European branches as well as new hires so it was a very diverse and interesting place to work.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my placement a great deal as it was a testing experience where I could push myself and develop my skills as much as I could but the atmosphere was very supportive and friendly. I was able to get a lot out of this placement and I was very happy with how I progressed through it.
Yes
I would advise anyone considering it to apply for Honda Motor Europe as it is a great place to work with great people whilst also being good for personal development and a good place to develop skills and get a great understanding of how the working environment works.
