Overview
Day to day I'd take on the creative side of the marketing roles, creating and posting social media posts, making infographics, and using illustrator and other adobe applications. I would also plan company and charity events, occasionally make YouTube videos for their channel and undertake data cleansing tasks.
Skills
We were given three weeks of training in the first month where I learnt all about what CRM is and how to use it best, as well as developing other skills such as presentation skills and groupwork. Over the course of this placement I have become a lot more confident in many areas, especially my ability to work individually.
Responsibilities
I couldn't believe how much responsibility I was given - there is complete trust in the placements to undertake significant tasks! My manager was always extremely supportive.
Support & Guidance
I was supported incredibly well during my time at ProspectSoft. We would have 1-1s with our managers every month where we could discuss anything we wanted to work on or ask any questions and get help. My manager was always there whenever I had a question, making sure I completely understood everything.
Culture
Everyone was extremely friendly and we had a few socials which brought everyone in the company together which gave a very friendly and fun atmosphere. There is always pizza and beer Fridays which are also a great way to end the week with everyone!
Your Impressions
I loved every part my placement year, from living with other placements that I worked with to the daily tasks I completed and the company culture, it was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone.
