The Role
Working at GSK has been very enjoyable, the culture of the organisation is great and there is always some willing to talk to you about the job.
I felt incredibly valueable to the organisation it fits in very well with the culture that is created by everyone working there, everyone is willing to give you an oppurtunity and responsibility.
The structured development is excellent with regular meetings focused solely on your development
How busy you are depends on how much you are willing to take on and with that in mind you need the experience to find out how much you are able to cope with.
There are so many oppurtunities when working within a big business and GSK does not dissapoint as long as you make it aware that you want the responsibility and prove yourself managers will trust you with some important tasks.
Time management skills, Prince 2, Business Requirements Gathering, Stakeholder management and networking are just some of the skills that will help me in my university and future career prospects
The Company
There is always time for some fun but when it is time to work you need to get your head down and wait until the nights out!
The running of the scheme was great the HR department and the ITIP custodians are always willing to engage with you.
GSK has some generic trainign oppurtunities but if you want some real money spent on you, you will have to work hard to justify it to your peers

Working from home
Towards the end of the year you are invited to apply to the fast track program where you could get a graduate job before you start your first year of university. I am currently in the process of organising some work with my department so I work part time during my final year.
The Culture
All of the ITIPs are very socialable and willing to go out aswell as everyone within the company is.
London is always going to be expensive the living costs do restrict you from the normal university nights out but every other week we manage to go out
Some great nights out and a lot of embarassing photos
There are a lot of social activites from sports to external learning events
