Overview
It is very mixed. I manage many different courses, some of which are delivered internally and some externally. I manage the non-standard training for the plant as well as managing all of the vehicle training for the plant.
Skills
Yes, I have had the opportunity to go on many training courses to develop all of my skills, one of which was Excel Training which has developed my digital skills. There is a huge offering for development at Nissan which makes it an amazing place to do your placement
Responsibilities
Yes, I was given a huge amount of responsibility with booking different courses which sometimes were upto £20k per course. This always linked to budget management which gave us information on how many more courses we could book in etc
Support & Guidance
The support from my team was second to none. They always answered my questions with meaningful answers. We have had new people join the team since I started and they have been falsely supportive. I think that this is embodied in all of the teams at Nissan.
Culture
The company culture is changing and it has strategies in place to aid this. One of which is the Nissan Way, which is embodied in everything that you do - I think having this in place is very important to developing the culture and moving towards a more diverse environment
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement and would definitely look into applying for the grad scheme.
Yes
Take it the opportunity with both hands. This is an amazing place to work and it is a great opportunity to build your network and look towards the future.
