Overview
Make multiple weekly reports for senior stakeholders. Pull data using the CRM salesforce for ad hoc requests from the sales team. Use excel to analyse data. Part of multiple teams working on long term projects in various departments of the company.
Skills
Well versed in use of excel and salesforce. Quickly developing business acumen through wide ranging knowledge of all parts of the company. Competent use of power query and automisation of various time filling tasks. Increase in confidence and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
Was given various levels of responsibility, starting with simple internal queries. Moving onto directly communicating with clients and being the lead on data collection in multiple international projects. Was also responsible for maintaining and developing multiple internal systems with little to no overview.
Support & Guidance
Very little, as a sales analyst I was the only member of my team and worked with over 100 people in various capacities. I had very little oversight from a manager who worked in a very different role to me.
Culture
Company wide, the culture and atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable to work for. However, the sales team can be intimidating and hive minded, which when you are a part of can be very enjoyable. However, from the outside it can be less enjoyable to work with.
Your Impressions
Whilst the work was usually enjoyable, there were times where my lack of peers or team to work with made me feel isolated in my role. However, when working on projects with work that I found interesting and with people who I could communicate effectively with, I looked forward to every monday morning.
Yes
Be prepared to switch between multiple projects at the same time. There is a wide variety of work to do, but time and stakeholder management is key to keeping on top of things and keeping everyone happy. Also make good connections and enjoy your time in between the serious work to have a break and smile.
