Overview
My role as the Medical Communications intern involved communications with healthcare professionals on the brands La Roche Posay, Cerave and Vichy. I created digital content such as leaflets & advertisements, liaised with the wider medical detailing field team, supported medical congresses, managed sample consumption and sample forecasts, managed content on the CRM tool for medical reps (Veeva).
Skills
I have developed my time management, organisation and communication & presentation skills. Learnt how to be more proactive.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was trusted to lead projects such as creating digital Ads displayed on multiple healthcare professional websites, managed the medical team sample consumption, was responsible for creating and managing communication tools such as leaflets, banners and detail aids that the medical reps utilised when detailing in the field.
Support & Guidance
My manager and team were very supportive and always happy to help - which made integrating into work easy and less daunting. There were weekly team meetings and one -to - one meetings with managers that were there to check - in with how I was feeling and to offer extra guidance.
Culture
The general atmosphere was relaxed, flexible and fun. Everyone is very approachable, happy and social.
Your Impressions
I have really enjoyed my placement at L’Oréal. The growth I have experienced as an individual and professional is incredible - which I owe to my team and L’Oréal for creating a fun, inviting workspace where one can be challenged to grow to meet their potential.
