Overview
My daily schedule would involve a routine team call to reflect and plan on priorities for the day. I would liase directly with agency and brand partners to brief new retail assets and meet production and distribution deadlines. I was also responsible for auditing retailer websites and advising on the required assets that had to be shown to promote new models. Finally I was responsible for monthly billing of cofund partnerships.
Skills
I have especially developed skills in communication, problem solving, teamwork, proactivity and organisation among many others.
Responsibilities
I was given great responsibility, often handling tasks and routine processes by myself with the team on hand to help if necessary. I became confident in my work and able to make informed decisions from previous experiences.
Support & Guidance
I received frequent support from higher management and given challenges that would support my learning and help me get the best out of my placement year with Stellantis. HR held student roundtable discussions as well.
Culture
There was a strong emphasis on team building and building relationships with your colleagues in my individual team, however the wider business seemed to struggle with this, with long hours, and increasing responsibility due to shrinking teams making individual workload harder to manage, taking its toll on morale.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement year with Stellantis. The varied experience and hands-on daily responsibility made me feel like a critical and important part of the team
Yes
Be flexible to change and get stuck into new experiences while you can. Do not be afraid to provide suggestions to the business or new ideas, as the young talent side of Stellantis is highly influential and important to future opportunities.
