Overview
Day to day would include working on corporate tasks to support the team. Then attending meetings with other trainees to get an understanding of how the firm worked and attending video meetings to hear about Gateley initiatives.
Skills
I’ve completely developed my confidence over the week. Speaking to everyone has really helped me understand the firm. In corporate I have used research skills commonly to find the right information.
Business Insight
It was amazing to hear from everyone all from different backgrounds and how they got into law. Knowing that Gateley wants people to be who they are and they make them belong as a result of that. It was really intestino learning about all the different departments and how they functioned onto themselves.
Culture
The culture is key when looking for a firm and I found Gateley to be friendly, always there to help and hard working. They do an amazing job of striking a balance between them. The culture has a lot of trait from early on letting trainees breathe and ask questions but also pushing them to learn.
Your Impressions
I completely enjoyed this insight day. I felt like 1 of the team and like I was at the firm for me.
Yes
Be yourself is the key thing. Being authentic is what they want they don’t want everyone to be the same they just want hard working people with personality.
