Overview
I spent the majority of my time coding in Python, creating machine learning models and getting an introduction to natural language processing. A portion of the internship was taken up by our intern project where we worked with other interns and a grad to come up with a solution for a problem the bank had given us.
Skills
With minimal experience coding in python before joining there was a large focus on learning and understanding this language.
Responsibilities
Since my coding experience was limited my responsibilities were too to begin with - but these increased as the internship progressed and we as we were given access to more data.
Support & Guidance
The support and guidance from my manager(s) and wider early careers teams was very good. Everything was well signposted and support regularly offered.
Culture
A welcoming company with a real emphasis on personal growth and learning. They have a hybrid working system which means the office can be very quiet.
Your Impressions
After the induction was online I was worried the internship wasn't for me but once I got into the office and met the other interns and wider team it has been an enjoyable working environment.
Yes
They are a purpose driven company with a large focus on their CPC's. Be passionate about your field and consider what you could bring to the company.
