Overview
I am an intern within Healthcare and Lifesciences Sector of IBM Consulting. My role varies depending on project, I have been both in delivery roles, product and design roles. Your placement year at IBM really is what you make it
Skills
I have learned several new skills across different tooling, as well as stakeholder management skills, time management skills and public speaking.
Responsibilities
I was given the responsiblity to own my own workstreams, and deliver legal compliance for the project I was on. You are given the opportunity to upskill and then encouraged to drive and own your own work. You are treated like any other employee, not an intern and that is one of the biggest benefits - you are trusted.
Support & Guidance
I received extensive support and guidance
Culture
Open, honest and inclusive. You could reach out and ask for anyones time regardless of seniority. Work is enjoyable and meaningful and you are appreciated for everything you do.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement and hope to return to IBM as a graduate!
Yes
Show you are willing to learn, push yourself outside your comfort zone and be willing to take on challenges - IBM prioritise growth mindsets.
