Overview
I support Internal Account Managers and Strategic Account Managers carry out their duties, often in the form of supporting with customer enquiries and increasing order take. A large part of my role is communicating with customers about orders they have placed with us, or any in life queries that require support. I organise the renewals for Strategic customer TPS, which consists of placing orders for vehicles with the aim of them being delivered at the end of the current vehicles three year term. I have also worked on a sustainability project with other undergraduates that has involved presenting research to various stakeholders around the business, as well as implementing initiatives to help educate employees of VWFS, and help improve the organisations sustainability strategy.
Skills
My IT proficiency has improved drastically over the last year, mainly Excel, but my ability to navigate other programs has also improved (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint and Word). I am now also familiar with Tableau and the capabilities it has. I have developed my communication skills, more specifically presenting skills thanks to practice, and a one-day Lifeskills session with Azesta, called Powerful Presentations. My problem solving skills have improved by observing colleagues within my team, as well as attending a 1 hour session called design thinking. My organisational skills have also developed due to the nature of my role, being organised is essential when keeping track of customer fleets and placing orders for their renewals.
Responsibilities
yes I was given a good amount of responsibility, at no point did it feel overwhelming. At the same time, the work I produced provided value to my team and the wider business.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support and guidance, I never felt like I couldn't ask for help if it was needed.
Culture
The culture is very much built around integrity, this showed throughout the business. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly and everyone is happy to help.
Your Impressions
