Overview
I was primarily part of the valuations team, but also got involved with sales and occupier services. These were very varied and involved all manner of things such as writing reports, going out on inspection for the day and doing research for other members of staff
Skills
I definitely developed my interpersonal skills, and it was a very welcoming environment for me to be introduced to the corporate world. My time management improved and I definitely feel much more capable of managing my workload, which will be useful for uni next year
Responsibilities
Yes, I was involved in collating information and writing reports which would directly be presented to clients. Some of the projects I worked on were also very high in value, which made me feel like the work I was doing had a lot of importance.
Support & Guidance
Everyone I interacted with on my internship was incredibly helpful. The early careers team was very well-organised and checked in with me throughout my internship. All of the office team were keen to get me involved in the work they were doing, and would always give me very thorough explanations if I asked a question.
Culture
The company culture was great! I was initially intimidated by the thought of entering such a large company, but the local team was extremely welcoming and everyone was very friendly with each other, creating a warm atmosphere. The culture was very youthful and felt forward-thinking
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship, it was a great opportunity to explore a potential career path while simultaneously gaining valuable experience and transferable skills which will benefit me in future roles.
Yes
Throughout the entire process, everyone that I met was so helpful and kind. Discuss your specific interests in the field of real estate during the interview and you will likely be placed in a team which best matches where your interests and goals lie
