Overview
I assisted the members of the team with roles they needed doing like data inputting or updating records. I was also given the chance to shadow other employees in other teams on site visits if I wanted.
Skills
I have developed my skills on excel.
Responsibilities
Yes. I undertook tasks that were going to be used by the team and used by clients.
Support & Guidance
My line manager and other members of the team were fantastic at answering my questions and showing me the ropes in the first week.
Culture
The general atmosphere was friendly, inclusive and helpful. Whilst the first few days are always daunting, I felt settled in no time. Myself and the other interns were able to get stuck into work straight away and I never felt short of stuff to do.
Your Impressions
It has been a brilliant opportunity to shadow employees on their daily tasks and also help to assist them with these jobs. I have implemented skills that I feel will be beneficial to the future of my career.
Yes
Find something quirky about yourself, that differentiates yourself from the other applicants. It will help you to stand out. Also, if you get as far as the assessment centre look up examples of this on YouTube as it helped me feel more prepared for the unknown.
