Overview
My role would be to assist with journaling every month to create the reports needed to show our financial position, as well as costing shipments of vehicles that were coming into the UK. I would have monthly meetings with other departments to discuss their financial positions and pay out rebates to Fleet customers.
Skills
I have substantially developed my Excel skills through the use of Power Query to automate a portion of my work which has been a great thing to learn, alongside improving my communication skills in all the meetings that I would lead.
Responsibilities
Your role is very much your own work so you have plenty of responsibility to look after your own work load. This also provides flexibility to plan your days out to ensure work is completed when necessary but also allowing planning for downtime or holidays effectively.
Support & Guidance
People are always available to help at Toyota and I have been very grateful for this, you can speak to anyone in the company and they would be willing to help with whatever iti s you need assistance with.
Culture
The general atmosphere is very friendly and approachable and the culture promotes creativity and initiative to try new things and experiment to create a workflow that works for you.
Your Impressions
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and I believe that the soft skills I have gained form my time here will aid me greatly in the future regardless of what career path I take.
Yes
Don't try to be someone you aren't during the employment process, personality plays a large part in the decision making so just be confident and smile.
