Overview
The job mostly consists in developing FPGA Video IPs for the upcoming releases of Intel Quartus. This implies being part of the entire design and testing process of product.
Skills
During the placement I have developed a various number of skills. I have gained experience with System Verilog, TCL scripting, and learned how to utilise a variety of RTL testing and debugging tools.
Responsibilities
Yes. After going through the onboarding project, I have been actively contributing to the creation of Image Sensor Processing IPs. I have been trusted with not just testing of currently existing IPs, but also designing and planning new IPs.
Support & Guidance
The team has been very supportive of me during the entire placement duration. I have been closely guided throughout the onboarding project and I have received great assistance and advice whenever I ran into a problem.
Culture
The general atmosphere of the company creates a relaxed environment, while also allowing you to make meaningful contributions and to constantly improve your skills.
Your Impressions
The placement has been a great experience for me, as it allowed me to dive into a work area that I am interested in, and to meet wonderful people. The social activities have also allowed me to get to know the people around me on a more personal level and to feel included from the very first day.
