Overview
My day to day role mainly consisted of tasks in projects I was working on and was interesting as this could be different things for example, inputting user stories into Jira, testing KPIS, creating salesforce opportunities. It also including email admin
Skills
I have massively developed my confidence skills due to presenting most days whether that be demos or within my extra curricular activities like a volunteering lead, mentor, digital magazine lead etc. I also feel like I have improved my work etiquette with regards to correctly wording emails, meeting etiquette etc which you can only really learn when doing a placement.
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement including leading projects whether that be within my job role or extracurricular activities. I was also given responsibility when leading meetings.
Support & Guidance
I received lots of support from my manager and from my team and that was one of my favourite things of my job role. There was regular 1:1 meetings to make sure I was okay with everything (personal and workload related). Anytime i needed any help there was always fast support available and everyone at the workplace is really friendly
Culture
The company culture is really good I think it could be slightly better but due to covid and everyone working at home it can’t really be helped. Everyone is lovely and friendly.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement as it taught me so much. It allowed me to find myself, work on myself and give myself a routine. It allowed me to work on my confidence skills as well as IT skills which is beneficial for my degree in final year. I would recommend everyone do a placement.
Yes
The advice I would give is that to prepare well for interviews/assessment centres. I mainly looked at potential interview questions and drafted up answers from my own personal experience
