Overview
I spent the year working on a project for a client. I work with cloud technologies for our solution. This can involve research, coding, implementation, bug fixing, creating documentation. We attend daily stand-ups and have regular sessions to review my work.
Skills
I have gained lots of experience working with Azure especially coming from having 0 experience with it. I earned a Microsoft Certification which wasn't too difficult due to the experience I gained over the year. I also improved my communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
Yes I was given lots of responsibility from day one. These were important projects and eventually I was given individual tasks which had an impact on the live projects.
Support & Guidance
Lots of support. There is support from foundation managers who are dedicated to supporting you throughout the year. There is support from the task manager for project questions and anything else. And lots of support and guidance from the team who you work with.
Culture
Great culture as there are so many communities to get involved with. There is a good work life balance and you are always supported.

I really enjoyed it and I'm glad I did the placement year. Amazing experience that will help me massively in the future.
