Overview
Checking over document review tags, populating tax software with company information, collecting company info from companies house, calling HMRC to update their records.
Skills
Learned how to use OCT tax software, improved Excel proficiency, improved presentation skills, learned how to use outlook and teams more effectively.
Responsibilities
I was given a small amount of responsibility in the scope of my very limited tax expertise. All my work was reviewed by one of the managers.
Support & Guidance
The team were very friendly and helpful. EY also has a robust support network for the summer interns and do a health and wellbeing catchup near the end of your placement.

Your Impressions
I had a great time getting to know the team and expanded my knowledge on tax law, processing and technology. The Newcastle office is a pleasure to work in with a very friendly and welcoming environment.
Yes
The application process isn't as drawn out and off-putting as many other companies so it really is worth applying. Getting one of the Big 4 on your CV can open a lot of doors and make a substantial difference
