Overview
My role involves assisting a team on an IT audit. This takes around half of my day as I do not always have work to fill my day. In the other time I have learning requirements to do and have many meetings and conversations with more senior people.
Skills
I have learned a lot about audit procedure, including improving my excel skills. My people skills have also been challenged every day by meeting other interns and speaking with senior members of the team.
Responsibilities
Not a great deal as 4 weeks is only a short time to learn. But all the work I was doing was contributing to the project, even if this was in a small way.
Support & Guidance
A great deal, everyone was very friendly and supportive.
Culture
Great, much better than expected.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it in terms of meeting new people and learning about the industry. If I had not had the other interns however, it may have gotten quite dull.
